From Dr. Mary Meyer at the University of Minnesota. This little bluestem is distinguished by its upright habit, beautiful blue foliage and excellent fall color, in shades of red, burgundy and purple. Think of it as a blue Calamagrostis ‘Karl Foerster’. Blooms in September with the purplish flowers forming seed in October. Clump forming.
