Japanese Painted Fern
Athyrium niponicum ‘Pictum’
A showy fern with fronds of soft metallic silver-gray and hints of red and blue. The magnificent texture and color electrify shady areas of the garden and make the fern a wonderful companion for a variety of shade-loving plants such as hosta, heuchera and tierella. 2004 Perennial Plant of the Year.
