Newport Plum
Prunus Cerasifera
This superior small ornamental tree has beautiful reddish-purple foliage with bright red tips all summer long. One of the first trees to bloom in spring, it has fragrant pink flowers that are followed by purple fruit. ‘Newport’ was introduced in 1923 by the University of Minnesota.
