Ilex verticillata ‘Red Sprite’
A female selection that is less than half the size of regular Ilex verticillata. Bright red fruits .50″ in diameter, borne on 1/8 inch pedicels; stays on for months. Flowers are small and numerous. USDA release. ‘Jim Dandy’ needed for pollination. 1998 Cary Award Winner. 2004 Plants of Merit®.
