Butterfly Bush Honeysuckle
Diervilla sessilifolia ‘Butterfly’
A Dutch selection noted for its extended flowering period. The rich yellow flowers are held in upright clusters from May to July and the foliage is bright green. The habit is neat and and well branched, not as floppy as some other species. ‘Butterfly’ is adaptable to dry, shady locations, but generally prefers full sun to part shade. A beautiful shrub for difficult planting situations. Best planted en masse.
