Tatarian Maple
Acer Tataricum
This large shrub/small tree is similar in many respects to Amur maple, Acer ginnala. However, it exhibits much better tolerance of alkalinity and dry conditions. The form is spreading and graceful, and fall color can be quite nice. Samaras are often red and quite showy.
