Cutleaf Smooth Sumac

Extremely dwarf, gold-leaved variety with bright pink flowers in early summer and repeating some through the remainder of the growing season. New leaves are light bronze before maturing to yellowish gold. A North Dakota State University introduction. Full sun.

An introduction from North Dakota State University. Similar to the variety Jackmann but appears to be more dwarf and flowers more profusely, especially late in the season.

A breeding breakthrough. Finally, an arborescens type of hydrangea with a different flower color than white. Late Panicle Hydrangea

Showy white flowers turning pink in mid-late August. Flowers borne in pointed clusters about six inches in length. Similar to Hydrangea paniculata ‘Grandiflora’, but blooms later. Rarely to never fed on by Japanese beetles.

This beautiful hybrid from Dr. Roderick Woods of England has large, single lavender flowers with a lacy center and a reddish eye. Flowers in July through September. Gold medal winner from the Boskoop Horticultural Society. Green Thumb Award Winner.

Another fine azalea from the breeding work at the University of MN. The flower is a beautiful yellow, almost bicolor, with both a lighter shade of yellow on the outer edges of the petals, and a more gold toned throat of the flower – quite striking. Lil’ Kim™ was hybridized in South Korea and is the only miniature Rose of Sharon in the world. Red Feather® gets its name from the two-tone new growth, maroon and green, that resembles the feathers at the base of an arrow. ‘Tom Thumb’ has a unique appeal due to its shiny miniature leaves and the herringbone pattern of its branches.
